I don't know if carbon fiber would work with the way these are designed. They have little plastic clips that snap over to latch the two halves together. Maybe it could be made out of carbon fiber and screwed together or something. I'll tell you one thing getting them off once they are on in the seat is a PITA.

We need to find out if DC makes this part in house or if it is sub contracted out. If it sub'd out we need to get them to sell them to us via a vendor or direct ship.
