This where I put tach driver.

You can see where I cut open the plastic cover from the coil wires. The whole point is to solder the wires far from the coil as possible. Unplug the coil harness and feed down by the tach driver.

This is how I set mine up inside and this will also determine how much wire to extend out. I left extra in case I want to move it somewhere else.

you dont happen to have the directions for use of the s-afc or neo do you? i bought mine used and dont have them, i installed mine a little while ago and im just starting to play around with it and wondered how to change timing and that mine will only let me adjust my AFR by 1,000rpm incriments not 500rpm like i would want it to be?

I have to go out and look at for myself. I will let you know in a little bit. I think if you go into settings and look for the third option other than hi and lo throttle it should be in there.

Yeah, everything went good. I got it all hooked up and it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be. I do have one question though, if anyone could answer it for me. I did a sensor check and I was wondering if these numbers look ok. I did it with my car off and at idle.

Off:

in-1: 1.85 V
in-2: 0.04 V
Thrt: 1.85 V
Knk: 00000

Idle:

in-1: 0.75 - 0.8 V
in-2: .02 V
Thrt: 0.72 - 0.78
Knk: 00515 - 00520

If anyone could check their's and let me know if those look ok I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I don't have the same options displayed as you but if you look at the post above of my safc you can go off of that. The picture was taken when the car was off.

i picked up an safc neo and you didn't use 2 wires that the manual says need to be used ... the "SAFC HOW TO" also didn't state where to tap in for the other 2 wires ...

in my safc neo manual, it says:

Orange wire - Illumination power (to illumination power for audio, etc.) ... i think it's safe to assume it just needs power when only the key is turned

Red wire with white stripe - IG power

the safc/safc2 uses the red wire which is also labeled as "IG Power" .... in the picture in the safc neo manual it shows the red wire & red/white wire tapping into the same wire off the pcm ... so if that's the case, what's stopping me from just soldering the red/white wire to the red wire?

I followed this how to last night and my Neo never even came on, I think this is why because it never had any illumination, my car started for 30 seconds then died. The car wont even crank over now. I dont know, I dont have alot of experience with this shit. I need help to at least get the car to start now.

Once you are done wiring you have to calibrate the settings to make it function right. I will post them later tonight.

I have wired 2 NEO's this week and followed my instructions and both worked perfect.

No. Nothing to do with vaccum lines. You can do what you need to do, to make things easier.
