This ad lists it twice as being on the car. Perhaps the 2 dealers that placed the ads were both mistaken.

I did not the the cruise switch after looking at the steering column on the ad. I also have a CE and t did not come with a cruise...but it will have one soon, picking up the kit tomorrow. Props on the great write up and to both that tried this and shared the information. I was debating on trying it myself as a science project.

wannamopar:
make sure you post up (and take pictures) of how you dealt with the TB bracket and cam. I'm interested to see how many different ideas people create to deal with what's really the only customized part of the whole install.

No problem. I have to put some go fast parts on this weekend, actually wire in some guages, but I will look at the bracket. I love to shop at a man's mall (junkyard). I believe I will fabricate one from two.

Phrozen: Did you find anything about the bracket on your R/T? I think the manifolds are simalar...might make for an easy mod.

Yes, I use Rostra Precision Cruise. I like it a little better because it is all electronic and there's no vac. can to hide. Plus, there's kinds of switches to choose from like one that looks like the ones these guys used to lighted dash mounted ones to even wireless switches that can be mounted to the steering wheel.

They are also cheaper to purchase than the OEM cruise. I buy mine from M & R electronics. Do a net search and you'll find their web.

ponchonutty: did you get the wired stalk with the Rostra kit? If so how many wires coming out of it. They give any technical details about the stalk in the paperwork with the kit?

Yes. It's just the basic 4 wire switch.

K.
the oem cruise uses a 2-wire stalk with several resistance values for signaling.

is there any way to get pics of the throttle cable bracket and the throttle cam in some high detail? i would really like to see how much you have to grind out of the bracket to make them both fit. also, i seem to be having trouble getting these rivets out of the new dual slot cam. did you drill yours out completley? or did you grind the heads off then punch them out?

thank you for any more information and hopefully some detailed pics of these 2 items.

thank you steelybob

I just ground off the rivets, and punched it out. Then ground off the one rivet on the SRT one. There is a second hole on the SRT one that isn't used. I used the rivets on the Lebaron cam, and they matched up with the stock holes on the SRT cam. Then I just tack welded the rivets on the back side. All you do on the bracket is grind out a slot wide enough to fit both cables, and the stock throttle cable holds in the cruise cable.

I'd be willing to bet the OEM cruise kit will NOT work with S3. You're welcome to try it though... hell I'll help you install it if you'd like.
