Default How-To: Custom Nostril Badge

i was bored one day going through my things and i found my stage 1 badge i had taken off awhile and back and decided to put it back on just for kicks...i didnt like it on the trunk or anywhere else, so i tried inside..put it on pass airbag but fell off lol...looked weird anyways...so i walked around my car and thought of making it a nostril badge like the original SRT ones...heres how it came out..

materials used:
stage 1 badge (or any other badge you might want to use)
3x3'' TEE (i bought it at mcoys for 79 cents,it had holes already drilled on TEE so i didnt have to drill one)
3M dbl sided tape
a screw and nut

First what i did was bend the TEE with a hammer so it sits flush with one of the hold on the ducts on bumper(didnt have a clamp to hold or torch to heat bend, so i stood on it, let hang off some cement and pounded away...) (spray painted it black)

then i stuck some tape on it and press the badge on it firmly

mount on bumper like so with a screw and nut and wha-la, you have urself a nice looking custom nostril badge imo...here are the results...let me know what you think (yes i know its only mounted on one hole but it is tight, doesnt move at all...i decided to mount it with the bracket going underneath the bumper, gave it a much cleaner look than having it visible on tops (yes i know blood splatter from bugs FTL...)

you can mount on top of bumper or...

mounted under bumper for cleaner look

let me know what u guys think

dont mind my bumper/hood gap, i lost the little screws that hold and only have zip ties on the ends and pulled it too much i guess thats why it looks weird lol

nice idea EXCEPT: the half hole looks really ugly!
Butter take a TEE w/o that second hole!

true...yea im going to try and make a better one i just did this just to see how it would look and going to make a much cleaner one

edit: if i mounted it on the top of the bumper, you wouldnt see the second hole BUT you would see the whole bracket when u opened your hood...as shown in one of the pics

thats pretty neat, even though i dont have either badge, i think i would still do the other "srt-4" badge just because it seems more noticeable, but awesome non the less.
