on your remote start.. there is a 200 mA neg.status output wire.... basically there are wires coming off of the clutch , and in those wires, there is a yellow red wire.. test this to make sure.. but when u push clutch all the way down, this wire will read ground.. tap the neg.status output wire to this, and it will tell the vehicle that the clutch is activated and allow the vehicle to start. i hold no responsibility on people bypassing clutches on cars because it is illegal to be done because it is dangerous.. so be smart about it
If you leave it in gear regularly it could be a prob. BUT...if you are like me...I never leave it in gear. I had a clutchless start on the dsm for 7-8 months; never had one problem.
speaking of remote start... i couldnt find any place that would install it for me... so i ending out not every puting it in and i dont know what happened to it...

the better option is to find an alarm that understands manual transmission cars. mine requires you to perform a specific sequence for the remote start to operate, one of which is to exit the car with the engine running and shut the door.

ya its easy to do but when you go to the track they wont pass you for inspection. they make you turn the key with your foot of the clutch, if the car starts then you cant race.
plus who needs a autostarter anyways? you guys are in hot climates leave your sun roof poped or windows cracked if the heat is that bad... i think the only cars that should have auto starters should be automatics..

I had a Subaru Legacy one time and I had a remote start. It had manual gearbox. There was this somekind of wire attached to my gearstick so when my car was in gear, it wouldn't start. I don't know the details, just for U to know it exist. But my frind has a Subaru Impreza GT and it has a manual gearbox too. It also has a remote start and one time he accidently lest it in gear, but as soon as he pust the remote for it to start he ran towards it and he could jump inside to turn it off. It was only couple of inches from crashing another car.
my track, beaver springs raceway, and beaverun raceway doesn't test for the clutch bypass either... you goto a tight ass track. haha.
so does the remote start come with instructions? if i have never installed a remote start before should i attempt this???

how would remote start affect how you would regularly start the car when not using the remote if your tapping the yellow and red wire from the actual remote start box?
