how bad/noticeable will your paint be after you take it off, does that auto tape rip off the paint or just leave residue?

Is it possible to heat it up and take it off without any sign of it being installed.?

i think its up to you, cuz the soft stuff like i have has a dull finish, and it looks like the hard stuff has a more shiny finish. i like the flat since i have my front end flat black behind the crosshairs and such

you dont even need black, i got the gray stuff with the red backing like the original poster had, and i stapled it up also, so you cant see the tape at all, its nice and clean, and i also rounded the ends to make it look smoother.

I just did my Home Depot Lip on Sat but I did a little variation to it. I didn't like how it stuck almost straight out when mounted underneath the bumper so I mounted it on the lower portion of the bumper and I think it turned out very well. Thanks for the how-to on the HDL and hopefully you guys like my variation. Maybe Home Depot Lip v2.0????

The only thing about it I dont like is that it goes over the bumper. I think it is a good idea though and will prolly grow on me

Took about 2hrs-I took off the bumper to do it correctly
2 rolls of Scotch 3M double sided tape
16 small bolts with washers on both side
1 tube of high strength Loctite [percaution]
and then i was done-when ever i find some in 90' Iam gonna do it over.
