Any confirmed yet about hard and soft sticking out farther? (loaded question i know
). I just REALLY dont want to end up with one that completely sticks out, was looking at the ELW lip, but this would save me a fortune if I can get it straight

Go with the soft rubber and put it "loosly" around the bottom in order to keep it more vertical than horizontal (sticking out).

loose enough just so u can feel it ad still have a good time

haha and yes tape and a small nail should be good. Just be careful, I would suggest screws with a washer for more surface area to be held down, but thats my .02

You not read the first page? pretty much tells you what all you need...
Seems most go with the soft.
