Winter is comming

Hey, so i just recently got an srt4 for everyday driving and ocassional races. I live in Michigan where the winter is bad for cars. I have to park my car outside too. What precautions can i do in order to ensure that it will make it through the tough season. Also i saw in other posts that you have to hose out the engine after the winter... what is that all about?

Just get some snow tires, and you should be good..I live in mass, so my winters are just as bad...You may get alittle salt under the hood, so everyonce in awhile if its not too cold outside, you could clean it off...
