They can & have voided it for just showing up at the dealer bone stock. They are assholes. They will make up some BS story about how they suspect you of mods & the tranny work will cost $3g's. Some dealers are cool with lots of mods, most just look for a way to screw you.

If you have warranty then give it a try. You got nothing to lose right?

But every dealer is different. Some are more lenient then others. Others will void your entire warranty over an intake and exhaust.

take the wastegate and boost controller off if you want to play it completely safe... other than that theres nothing on there that could possibly void the powertrain...

...erm...ya they'd void your warranty for any one of those mods, much less all of them. I had a dealer tell me my cold air intake was responsible for my clutch slave cylinder going out....

That's a perfect example. You can have a mod that has NOTHING to do with what broke on your car and they will somehow link it to your problem and void your warranty.

How could they claim a CAI fucked your slave cylinder up? unless it was a SRI that somehow managed to push the coldside pipe up against the slave and broke it... well now that would be your fault...

there is always more the story... i highly doubt they voided the warranty for that... how else would they explain how the CAI had anything to do with the Slave...

if they did your a pussy that doesnt speak up and tell them off and bitched the service manager out...

Guys, back in 04 there was a guy that got his warranty voided for using different tires than stock. Seriously. I've heard guys get rejected just becasue of the "likelyhood" the car was modified. Even though it was completely stock, he had to fight them. It's all bullshit. Just depends on the dealer

How? Because they can do whatever they want.

Its like arguing with a cop, you always lose no matter if your right or not. If they want to void your warranty they will even if you have a minor modification.
