the rod bolts are perfectly fine.

ARP2000's that are in eagle rods are rated to 800hp...which is more than what i'd feel comfortable w/ on a H-beam style rod.

the weakness of eagle rods wont go away upgrading your rod bolts.

in addition, please realize when upgrading the bolts, its more than just swapping...you need to take them to a shop and have them check the big end of the rod for out of 'round'.

the upgraded rod bolts are over 300$ iirc. you are trying to fix a 'problem' that isnt one to begin w/.

save your money and buy crower or manley rods.

for short spurts, prolly...

longevity? i duno...

these eagles are the SAME design and material as evo eagle rods...and there are plenty of guys in the 600's w/ them, and even a few in the 800s w/ them.

if they are DCR modded, i wouldnt worry as much...

if you are going to do 700 tho, my best suggestion is to get crower rods. if you can afford to do a 700hp build, then you can afford to do crowers. that's a LOT of time and money into a build to only end up being handicapped due to a h-beam rod.

dont get me wrong, for 600 or so, id rock an h-beam. nething above that, the better designed i-beams are the way to go.
