Default air fuel ratio gauge

2004 dodge neon srt4.............i recently acquired a Netami Air fuel gauge, but am having trouble finding out which wire on the o2 sensor is the signal lead wire to hook up the last one...got the posative hooked up the negative hooked up but ofcourse dont wanna screw with the sensor until i figure out which one is the signal lead, i dont have the tools to probe them, but the wires are very simple, 2 white wires one black wire and and one grey wire....anyone have any info on which one is which? also hooking up the lights, i have the red and black obviously posative and ground, and was going to tap into the stock boost gauge wiring, but there odd colors, yellow and like yllow with black stripe, any ideas on which one is which ofcourse being 100% sure of youself, the hlp would be great im trying to finisih up today, thanks a lot, any ideas IM me at saturn82783@aim or email there at yahoo or post here thanks...Justin

get a wideband end of story its easier to hook up and it actually works unlike the light show you justt bought.

might sound like a dick but its so true you wont get any useful reading out of that gauge.

+1. That narrowband gauge you got isn't something you want to be tuning with. Invest in a wideband gauge like the UEGO and call it a day.

The O2 sensor on srt4's uses differnent voltages then most o2 sensors. the gauge will not work uness you buy another o2 and get another bung welded in. after all the your at about half the cost of a wideband. I would sell your gauge to some ricer and save up some cash for a wideband.

there is no siganl wire on the 02 sensor. the stock sensor is a wideband so u cant use it for a narrow band u have to buy a 02 sensor. i ahd the same problem asked all over this forum and everyone said what they said above "get a wideband" so i called glow shift and they said u cant use the stock one. in the end i got the AEM wideband. best mod i got for the car. it doesnt give u direct hp but u can tune it and get hp.

I'm not sure what's so confusing about it. u can't use the stock sensor as a narrow band because its a wideband sensor. it makes sense because I tried all four wires on it and never got a reading on my narrow band. when I called the company they explained its not useable as a narrow band because its a wideband. (this is the same thing I posted above I don't know what u don't understand) so be more detailed instead of just quoting what I said.

The stock sensor is a narrowband. It can only tell you if you're running on the rich side or the lean side of 14.7:1. Its pretty much useless for tuning because its a narrowband.

If the stock sensor is a wideband why do people spend hundreds on purchasing widebands so they can actually tune with it? lol

because u cant tap off the stock sensor and hook it up to a narrow band or wideband gauge and even if u could tap off it for a wideband u would still be spending hundreds of dollars for the gauge.the 02 sensor is only like 60 bucks, but u still cant use the stock sensor as a narrow band even if the technician was lieing to me about it being a wideband. try hookin up a narrow band gauge to it. u cant the only somehwat reading u get is off the ground wire and thats cause its showin some OHMs. MikeM21 might be right it might just be different voltage but either way u cant use it for a narrow band.

theres no way its a standard narrow band because u can't use it with a narrow bnd gauge. whatever sensor it is u can't use it.
