Default 05' S1 Pcm

Well im going to get my SRt-4 this week and i was just wondering what the status of the s1 for the 05'. I was reading something about a pcm problem with the 05's or something... Any info would be good thanks

no problems that i know of i have a stage 1 on my 05 orange so u can order it from mopar super center

Dude, it's a computer module. Unhook the battery, Unplug the old one, and take it out, put the new one in and plug in. hook the battery back up and you're done. I haven't even done it but it seems like a simple mod lol .

not to hijack but

Where does your VIN come in to play when you buy a new PCM? Do you have to put yours in to the new one somehow?
I've heard about people buying used and having to re-flash it but always wondered what you are supposed to do when you buy a new one.

when u buy it they will ask for vin and mileage. they have to flash this info into it before shipping it or else the pcm wont work on ur car. same goes for used ones, some dealers and reflash em but most dont know how and will fight u.
