Turbonetics Billet Boost Controller - NEW PRODUCT RELEASE!!!
From the leader in performance turbochargers and intercoolers, Turbonetics is proud to introduce the Billet Boost Controller. This manual boost controller is CNC manufactured out of one piece billet 6061 aluminum; no homemade bleeder valves, or brass fittings from your local hardware store. The design incorporates both a ball-and-spring as well as bleed style to give the user full control over tuning his or her boost curve on either internal actuators or external wastegates. The ball-and-spring portion was designed with a lightweight polymer ball that quickly leaves its seat to eliminate detrimental boost spikes normally associated with poorly designed boost controllers. The polymer ball will also re-seat itself quicker between shifts to allow for superior transient boost response. The BBC also uses a built in bleed system to regulate the desired boost curve that is adjustable by air bleed jets included in the kit.
The heart of the Billet Boost Controller?s design is its click-adjustable knob. An integrated detent allows the user precise adjustment when increasing or decreasing boost. Simply turn the knob and count the number of clicks it takes to get you where you want to be. The BBC comes with boost/vacuum line, a mounting bracket, three air bleeds, wire ties, and detailed installation instructions.
- one piece CNC billet aluminum construction
- fast boost and transient response
- click adjustable, easy to return to original settings

You guys need to see this again. I will continually bump this every week until every one of you buys one. These are the easiest and most accurate boost controller we've ever used.
i dug up this old thread rather than start a new one cos the Turbonetics VBBC rox. man, this thing is light years ahead of the rest of the MBCs and it's way easier to tune with than the blue turboXS HP MBC i used to have! first of all, the turns are graded to where 1 click = ~ .5-1 psi according to the directions, which was pretty accurate in my experience on the dyno last week. (on my setup, it was about 3 clicks to 2 psi, so about .66 per click - your results may vary, but at least each click equalled the same pressure increase - no guessing!)
great part that AGP stocks here, and a great price. if you already have an MBC, and it's tuned and set, then there's no real need to get this one. but if you are part of the 70% of SRT owners that don't have an MBC, go out to www.agpturbo.com, click on "boost controllers" and find the Turbonetics Variable Billet Boost Controller.
after installing and tuning w/ it, i knew there was no possible way that i was the first to have one of these, but i did a search and could only find one review. well, now there's two of us and after using it, i think there should be more!
would i be better of using the stage 2 wga that i have and redoing the vac lines to take control away from the pcm, and using this guy to get high boost since the stage 2 wga only has a 7lb spring and would be sweet for daily driving. OR would it be better to just set the agp wga lower and use this guy. this has got me thinking. or would the wga arm not opening all the way be bad for flow/turbo. maybe ill buy one and do some experimenting. Love the built in bleed too.
yah, i bet once you get this baby, you'll never go back to another mbc. did your turboxs tune up real easy for you? i had some problems getting mine dialed in, so i was all over this one for it simplicity.
Sorry to hijack but I have a question.
Whats the difference between a ebc and mbc? Other than the obvious things.
I know of some one running a ebc with stock turbo, nothing ported, stock everything except for some bolt ons and he is spiking less than 23 and holding 19, yes 19 to redline. I have a MBC and the most I can hold is 14.
Any suggestions.

No. By itself it was fine but when used with the AGP WGA I'm having some issues with it bleeding either too much or too little. Without a wideband the turboXS scares me a little bit.

i am by no means an expert on BCs (or anything else, for that matter), but i stuck with the MBC because they are tried and true and hard to blow a motor. i dunno how easy it is to blow a motor w/ an EBC, but World One Performance's $80k STI shucked its motor w/ the greddy EBC 2 years ago, so i started asking around and found that there's more risk w/ the EBC.
so far as i can tell, the EBCs only have the in-car tuneability and the gee-whiz factor over the MBC. the MBCs are inexpensive, super easy to install, a chump like me can tune them, and they tend not to spike as violently as the EBC.
point is, go to AGP's site, spend a little dough on this, and put the rest of the money into a real perfomance mod.

yah, believe me, i know what u mean. i was running the S2 wga and the TXS HPBC and 3rd gear rolls at 50 mph = tons of wheel spin. wheel spin at 50 sounds cool, but when you think of the stresses to the engine, you stop doing it.
I have the HKS EVC, and after figuring the darn thing out, its amazing? I set it to 22psi, and it just hits 22 psi and sticks! No violent spikes, just wheel spinning power. If I did not get this, and was looking for an MBC I probably would have been ALL over this.
