Im going to be tuning my New delta 44 possibly by this weekend....found someone locally thats been tuning cars for a few years now and is very well known locally espacially with dsm's....i talked to him a few days ago and he seems to be very aware of what there is to tuning....i still need to throw in my 750's along with the 3bar map/tip sensor and my MBC....
what i am wondering is if this person should have any problems with tuning my car on the street from scratch....he told me all about the rescaling of the injectors and all of the other things that need to be watched for....im guessing this would be an ok step to take which someone that is good with tunes.....i know, kind of risky but i wonder if there is anything someone like that should know about the car....maybe changing over from a 2bar to a 3bar map???....also im planing on tuning it to 22lbs on 93oct which is mainly the reason i posted.....would that be a bit too high on pump gas or should everything work out fine if the afr's are fine along with all the other stuff like knock etc.....?
and yes im not 100% sure i will have him tune the car for sue....maybe a little bit of help from you guys would work out and advice on wether i should even be considering this.....the thing about it is that i would be able to learn how to use the DSP a bit more then what i know now which is almost nothing
Question is not wether he is a qualified tuner but if he doesnt have experience with the DiabloSport... you are paying a lot of money for an hour on the dyno no? Why pay someone to learn a tool when your paying him and the time on the rollers?
Honestly the stock map AGP sends you will be better than most... and then Kevin can send you a modified map to work on your afrs... just a thought

hey man def go to someone who knows what they are doing.. I had sct in the past and had a horrible experience bc I had a local vendor tune it who inmo, was not quite ready for a srt 4 tune...
Years later now I just bought the D44 from AGP with SCT and the tunes are awesome. Plus I emailed Kevin and got a quick response on a minor fuel pressure adjustment! GO with AGP all the way man!! You wont regret it!

RIP Steve Nightshade Lorenz and Maximillion. You guys will never be forgotten. Thanks for all you did for the srt community.
My experience with AGP and Kevin using SCT to tune my setup has been great. He is a very good person to work with and my car drives flawlessly. I could only imagine that their DSP maps are just as good.
i was just thinking that maybe this would be an option
Personally I would suggest getting a base tune weather it be SCT or Dsp. Dyno it and get AFR's with it. Then talk to whomever gave you the "tuner" to make minor or large adjustments based on dyno/drivability
yup i guess ill be waiting for a base tune from turbo666 as soon as he gets back to me.....i then will run the car and see what kind of adjuments need to take place......then will come a dyno at PWERKZ
