Default Temp Sensor problem

Well we installed aem ems today and on the break in tune we discovered that the intake air temp was 52 degrees and it was 90 outside.... Could my sensor have gone bad again in my uppipe....?

I just noticed that you have to choose what kind of iat you have... Can you tell me what sensor i choose on the aem for your iat sensor in the uppipe..?

sorry man don't mean to hijack you're page but what color wire do u solder them to cause both the wires are black on the SRT-4 AGP Screw In Temperature Sensor Kit (I know the stock harness has color strips but I just need to know if it matters)

You need to choose the SRT-4 AIT sensor in the EMS.

my agp sensor in my pipe consistently read 25-30 degrees higher than actual temps. Threaded my stock sensor and it is fine now. Just something for thought. I never really liked the whole "it doesnt matter which wire setup", it obviously does for the stock sensor.

The sensor is just a resistor, which will give the exact same resistance no matter what way the wires are connected (depending on the temp of course)

Just make sure you have the correct one selected or the temp vs resistance chart in the EMS will be all outa wack. Causing the temp to read wrong.

^^

The thermistor that we use on our sensors reads exactly the same as the stock sensor. You can also check the resistance on that sensor with a voltmeter to verify.
