Default Synapse Synchronic BOV: 'Some Q's...

Hello AGP people:
...so I've learned a little bit about the Synchronic BOV. I'm pretty ignorant at this time--but willing to learn.

It (synchronic BOV) sounds like a reasonable solution to compressor surge issues, correct? My BOV (or somewhere in my car) gets a noticeable bit of "flutter" when I let off the gas. Is that compressor surge? And, it has been happening for about a year now! What other unique benefits can I enjoy with this BOV?

As for installation, and other logistics--is the installation easy? I have an UPP with a Greddy, and the corresponding flange. I will need your flange adapter for that. Is welding needed? Or is it more or less a direct bolt on affair? And, are there ways to prevent foreign material from entering the BOV while under vacuum (It looks like it's literally open, when the car is under vacuum)? Oh, and do you include installation directions for boneheads like me?

That's all. Thanks!

what you hear is not compressor surge but compressor stack. Its actually pretty common and does not really harm the turbo. I run a filter directly off the turbo and its a LOT more noticeable since the intake doesnt muffle it ( think open headers). However, if you want to get rid of it the synapse BOV will do that.

Comrpessor surge is when you hear that "flutter" your talking about when its floored and im not talking about when you let off. Your WOT and its fluttering while your accelarating. BAD BAD BAD for the turbo.

Hey, thanks for the insights! I feel a little more at ease.
But, eventually, down the road, I may opt for the Synapse BOV. In the meantime, I'll stop worrying so much!
