Default RIP Scott Kalitta

It was a very emotional weekend at Englishtown with the passing of one of NHRA's Fuel icons. It's a huge hit to the entire NHRA family.

Rest In Peace Our Friend

Godspeed

saw the video... it was like a fucking meteor crash...

it looks almost faked, that's how unbelieveable this is.

RIP scott, look on the bright side, better to have passed away doing what you loved instead of being killed by cancer or something.

That's all we've been talking about with other fellow racers. We all pray that this is how we die; instantly and doing what we love. I can't think of a better way I want to go.

That's one of the things that keeps all of us going.

going out in a 300mph blazing glory... yeah, i wouldn't mind a similar fate.

also, another positive note, i heard the impact killed him instantly, which i hope is the case so no need to worry about him burning to death which would have been horrible...

hope that helps too...

It was like something you see on the big screen...an act...put together to fool the audience...instead, just like that his life was taken away from everyone

A friend of mine was ontop of there rv towards the end of the track when The accident happend and said they spent alot of time picking up the body parts..so it's not likely he was alive. The flames etc.. shot so high it burt the 75ft trees at the end of the track to the top.. he said the 2nd blast was so bad it shook the rv and almost knocked the wind out of him.
