Default Question on Stage 3 delta boost.

I got done installing my kit and took it out for a drive. Right now I'm running mine on stage 2 fuel and boost controll. The question I have is, is it normal for the boost to come on a little slow? It doesn't spike, it slowly raises to 15 psi and holds. Could a boost leak cause that? I never had an external waistgate before, so I'm not fully sure on how the boost is suppost to come on.

Have to keep in mind that this turbo is a lot bigger, so it spools slower then the old stock one.

No boost controller yet. I'm running it off of the stock wga line (black). So right now the pcm has full controll.

That would explain why. Adding a quality boost controller will make the turbo spool faster.

I have a blitz dual solenoid electronic boost controller from one of my last cars. Would that be a good one to run with my setup?

The blitz boost controllers are excellent, although a bit more complicated to use. If you know how to operate that boost controller well, that would help your current situation out tremendously.

Ok, sweet! I haven't used it in like 6 years. But I think once I hook it up, it will come back to me on how to use it. Thanks for the info.

Subscribed for the update. Curious to see how you work this out and what the results are.

This weekend I'm going to install a stage 3 pcm, fuel pump, and fuel rail. I'll see how it is with the stage 3 pcm in controll. If it's still slow to build boost wich I think it will, then I'll hook up the boost controller. I'll post up my results.

I installed my stage 3 pcm and fuel this past weekend. Boost still builds a little slow but I don't mind it too much. It seems to help with traction. The car absolutly flys now with the stage 3 stuff. DAB 3 hits 20 psi. I think I got to put the stronger spring in the wg, and the boost might go a little higher. Still haven't tried HOM yet. But I'm loving this turbo kit so far.
