S2 w/toys DAB controling boost to 13 psi
MPX TBE no cat

and it seems like i dont hit 13 psi until 3500-3600 rpm does it sound right or no i installed it over the holiday weekend with some friends and i didnt boost for the first 100 miles but if i did it was only to 2-3 psi to break it in

Bigger turbo's lag, if you want a little bit faster spool use an EBC and turn the gain to 100% or as high as you can go without the surge from having it too high.

My Profec is at 100%, running the 14psi wastegate spring

You need a boost controller that isn't managed by the factory PCM. That's your problem.

With my 3147...with the wastegate hooked directly...I hit 8psi around 4200(very very slowly and shitty). I reinstalled my greddy e-01 bc and tuned for 15psi and reach full boost around 3700-3900(seems to vary). It pulls a lot harder now...I haven't even fully messed with the gain yet either...

Im running a mbc and an 8psi spring at 20psi I can hear the dump start to open well before fullboost probably around 10psi. Will running a stiffer wastegate spring allow it to be closed longer in addition to added spool time, or would an ebc do the same thing?

Im going to change my screen name to Ben, maybe people will listen to me when i offere advice on stuff I went through 2 years of trying and finding what works.
LOL

I went through manual boost controlleers and an EBC and turn the gain up.
Manuals help also, but just not as easy to adjust and you cant really preset it like an EBC from inthe car for switching boost levels.

Use a wastegate spring that is a few psi below your lowest daily driven boost level.
that will ensure the fastest spool when complimented WITH an EBC with a gain control or a manual that doesnt allow the ECU to control

We just dynoed a 50trim last night w/ mbc, fuel return, SAFC, stage 2 pcm and injectors, exhaust, intake, intercooler, fuel pump and it made 352 @ 19 psi. Full boost was seen at 3500rpm with that car. I personally dont like any of the stage upgrades when combined with big turbo's. Ditch the stage 2 and get a dtec fcbc and 750cc injectors bro!

^^^^^^You will need a returnline with 750's or the car will run and get mileage like ass

the stg2 toys have a diff boost schedule for better traction, boost raises progressively, also they are right an electronic boost controler is the way to go.

ps; you ar t3h w3aksauc3

No problem, believe me it makes a Huge difference when you have the correct spring combo for what you are going to be running around on.

i run on 15psi daily for piss 91 pump and the 14lb spring allows the boost to come on So fast for the low boost with my gain up at 100% and even at 22psi I can leave my gain at 100% for high boost and it comes on very fast as well.

Oh you will know, you can feel it hardcore.

If thats happening either you are running too small of a wastegate spring for your boost level, or your gain is just too high for your set-up/boost level.

if you are trying to run 22psi, 100% gain and have the 9lb spring in...... chances are you will get that surge.
Which is the EBC opening and closing the Boost solonied because boost is coming on too hard and the Wastegate is opening too fast... etc

They all are trying to work together
