Default Max WHP from 50 trim on pump.........

Id like to know what others have recieved from thier turbos on pump gas. I just finished my tuning, and have to say i was shocked. I was expecting no more than around 420ish, and thats respectable. I was floored when we tuned pull after pull and it just kept going up! We peaked at 451whp, 410tq @21-22 psi with 11.5 AFRs! Astounding i say.

Race gas wasnt what I was hopeing for, but it wasnt bad either, just over 480whp on C16 @ 24 psi with 11.5 AFRs. Think this 50 can go play with the 10 second cars yet? I was hopeing, and we shall see.

Thank you for putting together some realy awesome products guys. This turbo has been through the ringer, and it just keeps putting out great results.

excellent numbers bro what are you tuning with? Is your motor built? head built? All i know is i am some what street tuned and i am stayin about 2 lengths behind a 600 whp mustang and he ran 10.74 in the 1/4 so 10's they are there just hard to do with a 5 speed front wheel drive. i am on 23 psi on pump. Question why did you not up the boost to 28-29 psi and open that turbo up. Hit me up threw a pm if you can because i will forget to go back to this thread more then likely. Thanks bro

damn, that's pretty good. I'd be interested in knowing your setup.
I made 393 on 91 pump at 20 psi. I haven't dyno'd on race gas yet.

Sounds like you are right on track.

You need to run a little more boost and you should be right at 500hp, and will max the turbo out. 480hp at 24psi is impressive any way you look at it though.

Look to the setup list in TKMotorsports section:Mods listing, for those that are going to ask.....

I dont know why but the tuner said the turbo was at its limit, and he didnt want to get detonation.....???????? If you look at they dyno you can see it fall off the top end. Realy, you think he was just being extra cautious? My mods listing should have realy put me into the 500s. I have ran 28psi b4 motor/head build so I dont know why he said it was maxed at 24........ Check it out and let me know what you think. I am realy a dud at knowing about tuneing except when a car is ritch and lean by AFRs. I can send my maps to anyone willing to check them out to see where I can gain the power if you want to take a look.

for a dbb, your spool-up seems kind of slow to me.
Here's a rough overlay of my standard-bearing 50-trim.

As you increase airflow through your engine, it doesn't take the same amount of "boost" to create the same horsepower. You're probably pretty close to the limit of the turbo and you can't run more boost than that, because your engine flows air better.

Also, your spool up does seem way off!
