Default how do I know when turbo on its way out?

how do I know when turbo on its way out?

shop said they think my turbo on way out because its starting to spool slower and he thought he smelled burning oil a little bit.
I have your AGP 50trim and I put about 40K miles on it.

check for shaft play, some side to side is ok if its a journal bearing. Not sure exactly how much is tolerated. But no in/out play is tolerated. Thats bad.

car was just rebuilt and all done by Jannetty and had no problems last 15K miles.. same turbo been on car for about 40K miles not sure how long they last. Last turbo lasted almost 50K miles before it was shot..
going to check oil catch can make sure it not full

You should make sure your crank case pressure system is working correctly, and all lines and vac lines are CORRECT. your turbo and motor needs vac, or else smokin turbos, blow by past rings. just all FAIL

would they just fail after being installed new 15K ago and all working fine..
cuz when I had turbo installed first time in TX it smokes and was because oil return line. Fixed myself.

But i check the turbo and after looking at better and not just going by what I felt there really isnt that much shaft play LoL..

Im going to empty catch can tomorrow and check all line..
let you know if it fixes the problem.
