Hey Ben or Jon,
I have your Old style WGA and im holding 14 to redline, I just wanted to know before i went and purchased a silly spring for $21 If i use a similar bleed you provide with your Billet WGA can i hold maybe 15-16 to redline or atleast have it hold a bit longer?
You should be able to hold about 16psi to redline assuming you do not have any major boost leaks, and providing the wastegate is adjusted correctly. I would make sure you do not have any boost leaks first off, then add the bleed/boost controller in.

When i puchased the car it had your wastegate on it already set at 6 Psi all i did was adjust it and tighten the locking nut, So how would i know if its adjusted properly? and im spiking 18 dead on and hold 17-16 and right at 5500rpms i drop to 14 before i shift. I cant get it any higher no matter how hard i try and thats with all posible leaks fixed. Will getting a boost controller help me hold more and longer to redline?

If it was only making 6psi with our wastegate then something is not set up correctly. We use a 14 psi spring in our wastegate actuators, so if you are not making at least that either the wastegate rod tension was not tight enough, or you have an incrediblly large boost leak somewhere.
I dont have any leaks...Your wastegate has always been like that..well atleast mine...now it holds 14 because of the spring im aware of that but i can literally show enough threads to where i can boost 6-7 psi and if you dont bilieve me ill be in Az in feb ill make u a bet! i get free item!!!

If you are running that little boost, then the rod is not even tight against the flapper arm, which is leaving the wastegate flapper partially open. When the boost is that low you most likely are experiencing slow turbo spool since the wastegate would be leaking exhaust pressure.

So i take it ide have to reinstall it? HMmmm um ok if it helps but i just had a couple of runs last night and i was looking at my gauge in 3rd and 4th and im spiking 18 holding 16 at about 5800rpms and right when i shift im between 15-16. So im happy now! but i still ordered an in-cabin boost controller. by the way this isnt the stock gauge so i know its accurate. I am experiencing slow boost spool. I dont really feel the car take off til inbetween 3000-3200 rpms, is that normal or should it be spooling quicker?
