Default Delta 44 Vs. T03/T04 3147

Ok guys which one, and why?

I think I'm starting to tire of nitrous, but I still want that power and torque.

- Car is driven on weekends, and used on the track (still learning to drive)

- eventually want 11 sec street car without stripping the holy hell out of the interior (at least not yet), I don't have a trailor so the car has to be driven 72 miles to and from the track.

Ok discuss.

you can't go wrong with either turbo IMO... i think they are both great for what they do and will get you in the 11's no problem.

Very similar power wise. With the D44 spooling a little sooner then the .63 3147. If your just wanting 11's a D44 on pump gas can do that no problem IMO. As so will a 3147. Add meth and you can have a high 400wtq monster lol

Im actually thinking of selling mine and going bigger. And I dont even know why

Thanks for the reply's guys.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I go with the T03/T04 kit, I would have more options for upgrading the turbo charger later on. Am I right or did I mis-read something?

With any AGP kit you can swap turbos easily. Almost all there turbos bolt up to there manifold

the d44 is an awesome turbo. i dont have much to refer it to since this is my first big turbo but i can say this it is almost as fast as my car was when i was spraying my car with a 75 shot on a bolt on stage2 set up. spool is around 3200 rpm. woith the mods that i do have agp hard pipes mpx exhaust injen SRI the d44 turbo kit and it is agp/sct tuned with a 255 pump and 750 injectors. i put 100% 110 octane gas in my car turned the boost up to where i thought would be 24 psi but was actually 26 psi did a third gear pull from 55 and it just blew the tires off suprisingly i didnt get any knock on my scan guage and ran a 11.7 afr at red line the fastest my car has everr felt even with nitrous. but were i run my car from day to day around 19 psi i would say its about there with my nitrous set up from last year. and it dosent cost me 50 bucks every weekend to go that fast. wise decision going big turbo imo

both make pretty much the same power. 3147 maybe a little more but the d44 would spool faster imo, i could be wrong

d44, thing spools quick! Nearly no lag at all and you get great instant trq curve. I think it a great turbo for this car.

d44, IMO a better turbo. it makes more tq, spools sooner, and likes our powerband more.

3147 is kinda outdated, i wouldnt even think about bolting one of those to my car anymore.

The compressors are close in size and max power output. The delta 44 will spool a bit faster due to it being in a .48 a/r turbine housing. The 3147 will probably make a bit more power up top due to the larger .63 a/r turbine housing.

We are constantly trying to improve upon what is currently available, so we are always coming out with new combinations.
