Well, my strip on my drivers side hood will NOT stick to the corner of the cowl. I have tried everything. It was well prepped and cleaned with the 2 pieces I have gone through. I have taken it by graphic shops and they couldn't get it down eithier. So, today, I had it with the bubble and I used super glue. It stuck done, but it left a mark. And the more and more I keep pulling up that plastic cowl piece, the more and more it starts jacking up the vinyl around it.
So, I think I am going to turn to paint. I love the strips on my car so I would never mind them being permanent. Anybody else have painted strips and what ballpark did you pay to have it done?
This is a bit spelling Nazi-ish, but your title left me thinking something had gone on in Las Vegas... and your whole post made no sense until i saw the picture.
THEY ARE STRIPES.
Bump so someone who knows how much stripes cost can answer.
It would be very expensive to paint stripes on the car.. I would say just get someone who deals with vinyl on cars, not a little graphics shop, to help out. It can be done, you just have to be patient and it may take a few tries. Id say its not worth painting them on because of the cost, but if you want to just get a few estimates from shops. Good luck.
Ya I do know that about the spelling. Crazy I let that slip by me.
Ya, I actually have a few buddies who work in auto body and they told me the same thing. It can get pretty costly because you have to not only paint the stripes, but then re-clear the whole panel around it.
So, the super glue is working so far, I just am scared to know what it is doing to my clear/paint underneath.

I've got a buddy who one night we all met up to go get his stone white SRT-4 from a local garage and parts dealer. When we got there the car was suppose to have been done getting the stripes on it forever ago. We walk back to the garage at the back of the building and see the guy still working on the hood scoop, desperately trying to get the viynl right. He couldn't get the SAME on that you resorted to super gluing so my buddy just had him cut the vinyl around the the hood scoop like a C/E car, except it looked like ass because his striped (same as yours) were way to thin to go around the scoop like that.
Also, he got tired of the stripes, even though EVERYONE liked them at first. Everyone got tired of them actually, so I wouldn't suggest doing something permanent like painting them on there. Oh and dumb idea putting super glue on the paint of the car.

Well, I for one, enjoy my stripes. So I had to do something to get it to stay as this was the 3rd piece that wouldn't connect to that corner of the cowl. Looks even worst when you have a giant bubble that eventually starts to tear. So I did what I had to do. Tried to lay it on there as light as possible. Like I said, if worst comes to worst, I have some buddies who do autobody.
