Default Pseudo SRT front bumper?!?

So I just got my car back from the body shop and they had the regular Neon style front bumper put on. I was obviously bummed out about that and I spoke with the dude and he said they had done nationwide searches and came up empty handed on both brand new and used. I told him that I do not like the way it looks at all and I would be informing the insurance company of the issue which he said he would have no problem with.

Now the next question is if anyone knows of a place where I can obtain a new front bumper fascia. I would be willing to get either new or used since I would not be paying for it and have it refinished appropriately. Perhaps someone here on the forum can do a better job of locating one of these than the body shop could. HOLLA back and lemme know what you got?!?

I am having a really hard time believing they can not get that piece direct from Mopar. They only stopped making that car 2 years ago.

This was a problem last year too.. apperantly Mopar stopped making these bumpers. I beleive modern performance has some tho? Im not sure on that, I remember seeing a picture and saw some bumpers in the back round. Someone else last year had his front bumper replaced with a neon bumper and found out that finding a srt front bumper was really really hard to do.

Dont give up on that, make sure you get the right bumper on your car. There are a few srt's being parted out, you might get lucky and find a bumper.

you're going to get the insurance company to pay for this .... right?

dude, i honestly wouldn't pay a DIME towards getting the right bumper on there .... actually, i'd be looking for re-imbursment for having to waste your time to deal with this bullshit ... you shouldn't have to locate the right bumper, the fucking body shop should have done that

Manufacturers must make parts for a car for 10 years after production ends.......it's up to them after that if they want to continue.

Yeah doode I heere ya. I found the correect OEM bumper after 5 minutes of search time. If only they would have called me first then I would have been able to locate one for them. Now they are going to have to do free work for the insurance company and not to mention they are gonna have to pay to get the 3M rock blocker put onto the bumper too!!

I would be mentally scarred for life if I saw my car with a "SRT Design" bumper cover on it . It hurts enough to see them on a neon , But a real SRT-4 ?

the factory srt bumpers are always on nationwide back order......they make a batch a month( i believe its 50)....and most are already bought and paid for before they even make the batch.....most people i have ever known that have got into an accident in there srt it has taken over a month to get just the bumper from dodge.....

good luck getting one....it takes a while

My wife had the same problem about 6 months ago. she spun her SRT4 on the way to work and wasted the front end. When we got it back it had an SRT design group bumper (the one available on the SXT without the nostrils) We had to argue with the insurance company that this was the wrong bumper and that the car was overheating because of it. When I finally told them that we would see them in court for not only a new bumper but a new engine as well they finally caved and got us a new bumper and a rental car as well. When we took the SRT4 to the body shop they informed us that Dodge didnt have any in stock and everybody was waiting up to 4 months for them.

Long story short.
Wife crashes car in early March. Proper bumper finally installed at the end of August.
