Default Paint help

I have had my car for almost a year now. On my hood, there is a small chip. On this chip is what appears to be a crappy job trying to add touch up paint. The chip is filled, but around it, it looks like someone put their thumb on it before it is dried. So I cant really wax my hood because it looks like ass. So... My question is, to take this extra paint off, should I just wet sand with a super fine grit SP or what? I dont mind the chip, the permanent thumb print is what is bothering me. I will post Cell Pics when I get a chance.

You should be able to wet sand it out with some 800-1000 grit then use a hand polish of your choice to rub it back to a shine.

Thanks. If the car bras didn't look so gay, i would get one. There are quite a few chips on my lower hood and front bumper. Oh well.

Yeah, I've got a bunch on the leading edge of my hood that somebody before touched up. They did a so-so job. I'll prolly just get a carbon fiber one some time down the road.
