Default Need some help on what to do with this lip. The regulars...

So I have my CBD splitter/front lip sitting in my garage. The paint on the lip was 24 hours old when a bolt tore through the bumper causing the lip to sag just enough to scrape the very front of the lip round..

Needless to say I stare at it every day when I pull into the garage and it makes me mad.

So I decided to see if would be posible to "grind" down the front and make a new shape but same design.

I put blue painters tape over the area that I hope to smooth out. It also clearly shows the damage.

The issue is I think the front wont be long enough and look wierd. Any Ideas?
maybe grind down the sides to even it out? I was also thinking of slaping a sheet of thin metal to the bottom to prevent that from happening again.

I'm not for sure you can bond fiberglass to cf but I would try that and fill the broken piece and then paint it. Oh and use washers behind the bumper so it doesn't pull out again.
