Default Hood bent?, considering CF

I just bought an SRT from a car lot about a month ago, and they told me that the guy that had my SRT before me jacked it up from the front radiator support and now theres a one-inch gap between the hood and front bumper. The hood doesn't sit flush with the headlights in the front, it kinda sticks out.

Now is something on the radiator support bent or is it just the hood? All of the body lines line up perfect except for the hood so I think its just the hood.

I was just curious if anyone else has done this and if something besides the hood was damaged. If it IS JUST the hood, I'm going to buy a CF one and have it painted with a single layer of red (so you can still see the CF weave, it'll look like red CF) before putting my stripes on it (I don't want stripes on a bent hood).

I think there are two round black rubber stops on each side on top of the bumper right in front of the radiator....They should turn either way so you are able to adjust the height of the hood.......But I may be wrong.........

i would check to see if where the hood connects to the brackets if you can tell if it has been removed once before or adjusted, then i would check if the car has ever been in a wreck this is quite possible with all the young drivers this platform is aimed at(20-30)ish

The car has never been wrecked, and the previous owner worked at the dealership I bought the car from. They said when he traded it in, it had painted stock wheels on it that were chipping, so he jacked it up to pull them off and swap on some Tenzo's. It was on the lot in the garage when it happened. They never attempted to adjust it or anything. I bought it the very next day, so they explained to me what had happened.

the fact that when he went to change the wheels he jacked the car up on the radiator support. thus bending it and messing up the alignment of the hood.

If the radiator support is bent, then your alignment for the hood is fucked until you bend it back. It has nothing to do with the hood itself.

^^He is correct^^
My buddy did this exact thing to his srt4. Take your front bumper off along with your intercooler and get something straight to put up to the bottom of the lower radiator support to see how far up its bent. Now to bend it back down you can do it many different ways, one is to take the radiator, condinsor off, put jackstands under each corner of the lower radiator support and jump in the middle until its bent back down straight and you might have slightly bump the upper support if the lower support doesnt pull it back down. Another way is to put a jackstand under each corner of the lower support and find yourself something to anchor a strap to from the center of the lower support to the ground and just rachet it down until its straight. hope this helps
