Use code avsxmas to get 10% off new metallic colors, just got a email from AVS about their winter sale. Might buy some CF wrap to redo my carbon fiber trunk with. Mines got a lot of age on her, clearcoats given up the ghost almost.

Me?
And Reao, this is my best front shot, I had just entered in a car show. But the portion of the bumper you can see is actually 3 pieces of vinyl out of 5. If you google around there's a vette forum how-to describing how to use painters tape and a razor to get it to be totally invisable,I can't even see it. ![]() Dirtiest Rims 2012 baby. Wow you really can't tell at all! I am really going to have to read more on how to do that! Thank you so much for your help! I can't wait to give this a try. I will keep you up to date on my wrap.

Dang! That would be nice. This winter is all about getting the car stable. If I am lucky I can start my wrap this spring.

How long will this typically last? Really thinking about doing this... How much material will I need just to do the hood? I just want to see if I can do it first

Comparing the durability and long lasting properties of vinyl against plastidip is apples and oranges.
The day after I finished my vinyl my gf backed down the side of my car. You can't even tell, and my cars paint was perfectly protected. The only reason I knew she did it was my door wouldn't open because my fender was pushed into it. 3m last 4 years. Or 5 I can't remember. |

Yea but you guys are comparing a professionally done vinyl wrap vs someone whos never done anything like it before in his garage , hell i know if I tried to do a vinyl wrap id end up going through 5 times as much vinyl trying to wrap the damn thing, not to mention the front bumper....
Yea it CAN look good, if done RIGHT |

So when you guys did this did you also put the vinyl wrap everywhere like the door inside to match the out?
Seems like a good way to change the color of my car. ![]()
