Default exterior pillar trim!?!?! wtf mate

so i bought some of those rainguard shields that go above your windows awhile back, well i got my car re-painted and the shop ended up RIPPING off the shields and obviously leaving horrible marks and removed material blotchs on the pillars in btwn the doors on both sides, does anyone have any idea on how to remove those from the vehicle and where you could find black OEM trim to replace it?

ive searched up and down on several sites for the trim pieces, even the for sale section...all i could scrounge up was the cf pillar trim, no need for carbon fiber, any info on a site where they are sold or how to remove the trim, let me know. thanks guys.

-Steve

You have to remove the run channel that the window rides in, the rubber surround. There are three nuts to remove each of them. Those pieces are $50 each brand new at the dealer. I can give you the part numbers if you want them. I just purchased brand new ones because of vandalism to my car.

Any of them from a Neon 2000 and newer will work so if you can gain access to them in a junkyard that would be your best bet.

Yeah...the run channel is the guide that the window slides in. You can pull it out, but in reality it's best to remove the door panel, loosen the bolt that holds the channel in place and then move it outwards. This gives you very easy access to the three bolts that hold them on from behind.

What exactly is the damaged? Scratches? They aren't fixable at all? You may be better off trying to wetsand and paint the ones you have

its more or less that the pillars are damaged from the 3M double sided tape that was...on there pretty good. i was unaware that they were able to be sanded down and painted....good idea. thanx.

I guess that should not be your problem, isn't it?
I would give them my car and 4 days to replace the rainshield and the pillars and i would leave with a replacement car on their cost.
