is there such as thing? i just love a clean shiney engine bay, so i was looking into painting my block chrome or shiney aluminum, has anyone everdone this b4? whats the temepature rating? i plan on chroming head, block, manifold, turbo, etc.
I have used Duplicolor metalcast before (not on my car though). It's heat resistant to 500 degrees and is supposed to resist oils, etc. You pretty much do the base coat of the "chrome" and you can either leave it, or add other metalcast colors for an anodized look. Here is the motor I did for my golf cart, chrome and anodized purple.

nice im sure a high temp clear coat would pry work too, ive seen people powdercoat turbos, is there such thing as chrome powdercoating? or would it be cheaper to go with polished aluminum?
alsa corp hasa chrome kit that you can use. it is a base coat that you spray he chrome over , then clear . it works, i have used it and it is convenient because it comes in cansthat you can easliy spray. i did not have enough to do my tranny, you need at least 2 can kits for that much. to do the engine comartment it will come out nice, but pricey. this is a better alternative to spectrachrome, it comes in less amount.
