Default CBD CF Hood fading!

My CF hood is starting to fade like a dull look, but some parts of it still has the shine. I was wondering how can i make it look shiny or look like new again. I was thinking of compound buffing it, then blast some clear coat on it?

Any other ideas?

i got a cbd hood thats cracked in the clearcoat and looks kind of dull.. im just taking it to a shop to get re gelcoated...a buddy tried to clearcoat my trunk and it came out bubbly
