Well I have had the Autometer Ultra lite in for about 2.5 years now after the stock one crapped out on me. I just bought a Autometer cobalt gauge, but it is to long to fit in the gauge pod. So I was woundering what gauge you are using other than the Ultra lite one? I like the look of the ultra lite 2, but also read somewhere that it was to long. So I would like some opinions. Thanks.
I use a Autometer 30/30 gauge, I dont remember the exact model but I have had it for a few years now after I replaced the stock one which I had no problems with. It is a little difficult to read at night because it is so poorly backlit.
I second that. great price, awesome customer service and it's so much easier to read. Nothing tells you how much you are boosting like a giant LED display in your face...

"I'm sorry for an idiotic question. once i have this leak tester hooked up i start the car and then what? Do i just stand there and wait for some sort of whissle sound?"

I am going to look into this one. Is there any fabing need to be done to make it fit in the gauge pod?
I really like the VEI gauge but the autometer is just easier to install. But as you can see the stupid gauge is too long. So I might be getting the VEI gauge as soon as vGauges.com starts working again. I also got a guy to buy this gauge. As soon as my stuff is put on I will be kicking a turbo'ed SC 300 Lexus ass.
The VEI gauge really isn't hard to install. Some other gauges to look at are prosport premiums. Good price, Good lighting, and warning feature with playback, plus they come in 52mm and they fit.
all i did was put electrical tape around the gauge and slid it in...it sits nice an snug. no bolts or taking off the dash...well just to take the stock nuts holding the stock onr

HAHA That's EXACTLY what I did. It sounds ghetto but it works perfect. Wrap it about 4-5 times around and it will be a really snug fit in there. Won't spin or come out whatsoever.
Other than that it's a super easy install. I didn't even bother connecting the dimmer wire (to make it dim when you put the headlights on) since you can adjust the brightness etc on the gauge itself.
