Here is your answer. The power loss that you are experiencing is across all gears. The reason that you only see them in the higher gears is b/c there is more data that it collects b/c you are in the gear longer. I wouldnt consider that falling on its face but that it is loosing some power up top. I would say to get a mapclamp and tune back some fuel but the downside of that is that you will be pulling more timing.
For future refrence of this thread, lets save all "falling on its face" comments unless refering to the car feeling like it is NA at the top of the gear or Scott after he steps into the boxing ring with me.

10 yrs of experience? Is that is running around the ring screaming like a girl or just overall life experience? The way I see it is that you are gonna have to tell your coworkers that you got beat up by a punk teenager. Well, as long as we fight before mid Sept.
I actually like to think we can post whore with the best of them.

I am editing them all b/c I have more to say. and I gotta try to keep up with my 56K
You are lucky I fixed that turbo. Maybe I should send Aaron over there to tighten that 3rd bolt on the turbo and maybe a couple others while he is there.

Man you guys don't quite do you? Anyway. I noticed what seemed strange was I was able to get a faster time on the G-Tech on my first run and my last timeslip from Santa Pod was my fastest time. Eitherway it shows that the car was not realy improving as the day went on.

So you think it could be fuel? I know boost drops dramatically at readline. I was also noticing on another screen how much power is lost after 5800rpm. It's enough to convince me to set the Gtech shift lights for 5800.

Why I shift before 6k and never redline it. after this dyno run on saturday I should know where my shifting points are on the car now. If i get the g-tech from russell I will try it out and see what it says too.

yeah, depending on how much timing you are pulling you could be losing alot of power, and if you are dumping alot of fuel you are also killing your power potential.

This statement is true but there is a catch 22. The more fuel that you pull, the more timing you will pull. The only way around that is if you run some REAL high octane (american 98) or get some water meth. Do you know why or do I have to explain?

One thing that you have to look into is where is shifting at 5800 going to leave you when you grab the next gear? Will it drop you out of the powerband? Will it take a little longer to build boost from there? Just because you start to lose some power there does not mean that you should shift before then. Hell, my boost starts to fall off at 4000 RPMs. That does not mean I am shifting at 4k RPMs.
