Default UK SRT-4 Meets and Track Dates - The Sequel

Ok guys, I figured it was time for a new thread since we have gone way past the 9th of April and need to start planning on future track dates, Bury Bridge meets, dyno days and just regular meets/cruises. Listed below are all the RWYB dates from May through the Mopar Euro Nationals in July. After that we can update the dates on the first post for future track dates, etc...

So, who wants to go to bury on the 29th of April? This weekend will probably not be good for me since I have a going away BBQ on Friday or Saturday night for a good friend. Next weekend is open though.

Anyway we need to start planning on the Dyno Day probably first since that will be coming up first more thank likely. If anyone wants to run with that let me know otherwise I will see about contacting the two that we know of. If anyone knows of any others please post up website links or phone numbers.

Any other ideas are more than welcome, just post them up. If you know of other guys with other cars (i.e. the Cobalt SS/SC and MS3 guys) let them know too that they are invited to all this stuff. How to raise your octane using some comment chemicals.

Toulene

Mixtures with 92 Octane Premium
10%...94.2 Octane
20%...96.4 Octane
30%...98.6 Octane
Notes: Common ingredient in Octane Boosters in a can. 12-16 ounces will only raise octane 2-3 *points*, I.e. from 92 to 92.3. Often costs $3-5 for 12-16 ounces, when it can be purchased for less than $3/gal at chemical supply houses or paint stores.
FORMULA 2
Xylene
R+M/2...117
Cost...$2.75/gal
Mixtures with 92 Octane Premium
10%...94.5 Octane
20%...97.0 Octane
30%...99.5 Octane
Notes: Similar to Toulene. 12-16 ounces will only raise octane 2-3 *points*, I.e. from 92 to 92.3. Usually mixed with Toulene and advertised as *race formula*.

Methyl-tertiary-butyl-ether (MTBE)

Cost...$3.50/gal
Mixtures with 92 Octane Premium
10%...94.6 Octane

Notes: Oxygenate. Very common in octane booster products. Has lower BTU content than toulene or xylene, but oxygenate effect makes the gasoline burn better and produce more energy.

Methanol or Ethanol

Cost...$0.60 - $1.75/gal
Mixtures with 92 Octane Premium
10%...94.3 Octane (Methanol)
10%...94.7 Octane (Ethanol)
20%...Not Recommended
Notes: Methanol is wood alcohol. Ethanol is grain alcohol and found in Gasohol in 10% ratios. Both alcohols are mildly corrosive and will eat gas tank linings, rubber and aluminum if used in excessive ratios. Main ingredient in "Gas Dryers", combines with water.
FORMULA 5
Isopropyl Alcohol and Tertiary Butyl Alcohol
R+M/2...101
Cost...$0.60-$1.50/gal
Mixtures with 92 Octane Premium
10%...94.5 Octane
20%...Not Recommended
30%...Not Recommended
Notes: Similar to Methanol/Ethanol. Isopropyl Alcohol is simply rubbing alcohol.

MAKE YOUR OWN OCTANE BOOST
How to make your own octane booster (this is the basic formula of one of the popular octane booster products). To make eight 16 ounce bottles (128 oz = 1 gal):
100 oz of toulene for octane boost
25 oz of mineral spirits (cleaning agent)
3 oz of transmission fluid (lubricating agent)

This product is advertised as "octane booster with cleaning agent *and* lubricating agent!". Diesel fuel or kerosene can be substituted for mineral spirits and light turbine oil can be substituted for transmission fluid. Color can be added with petroleum dyes

alright all the RWYB days are updated.

We probably need to schedule another dyno day to see where any modification we have done have put us powerwise. I know I am interested since last time I had a leaking turbo.

I can dyno the before and after from this shit hole to America. Same thing with the 1/4 mile. It has to be before the 3rd tho.

I would go too. I want to see what my car can really put down now that the turbo is fixed. Now if I can only figure out what is wrong with the Water Injection. LOL

well I spent 7 hours today waxing my car. Its the Mcguiars 3 coats system. Yes I know it rained but wax it waterproof! plus it keeps the paint healthy over time! I am wondering if we should go to santa pod tommorow (saturday) because it is suppose to rain there all day sunday:

Well I would love to go tomorrow but the track is open to only Italian exotics. Or at least that is what the Santa Pod website says.

Looks like its only suppose to rain on Sunday I don't know what do you guys think? I don't think we will get to run or are suppose to at least.

Yeah, no RWYB for all cars tomorrow. That is why we had to go on sunday. if it is raining on sunday then we will have to postpone I guess. More money for dyno day then. LOL

Russ, if you use the wideband to tune your car a bit before you go to the dyno that alone will give you power. That would be worth seeing what you are running with a better tune and HOM on instead of just rich as hell and no HOM. Just my opinion
