Default Trans problems......

okay so my car is starting to have problems going into gear....all gears not just one...tob fork is going bad or is already bad....the wierd thing is in the mornings it shifts great but after warming up to operating temps it is really hard to get the car in gear. I have to push really hard on the clutch pedal to get it to go into gear....what else could be the cause of this? i have my adjustment all the way out and dont have anymore room to go. is this common? I need to get this fixed cause i am trying to go to the track as soon as possible to get some times...let me know thanks casey

Look around on the forums for one. I know rage used to offer a hydraulic one.

You don't have an auto skills center to work in? What post are you on again?

I am in heidelberg. we have a autocrafts center but i really have not had the time to see what my options are for working on the car there or what. I know i could get the trans done in a day but if not i dont want to be forced to have to pay for storage or something. I dont know how do these things work? Okay so if i have a south bend stage 3r clutch should i get a tob from them or just a stock one would do? i will look for some more info on the complete kit. i am sure it is the problem because my trans has about 40000 miles on it and i have read somewhere thats usually when they start to go out. I need to get this done so i can get it to the track before the end of the season. Also i got my car inspected today and failed the db portion of it haha. 105 db i knew it was going to fail but not by that much. Thanks for the help guys hopefully once work slows down here i can meet some of you guys. Thanks again and keep the info coming

The charges for storage are really really reasonable. I wouldn't worry about that. At Schweinfurt we pay 7$ an hour for a lift and $2 to store it overnight indoors. If the shop is full the next day and you aren't there then you get charged $7 an hour for the lift until the car gets pulled out. A clutch can be done in a day. I'd go ahead and opt for the upgraded clutch if you can afford it. Its easier to put it in now and upgrade the stuff on the engine and not have to worry about it down the road. Good luck!
