Hey all, I haven't been on for a while so I guess an intro is needed. Name is Jim and I have a 2004 SRT-4 Stage 3 no-toys. In August, I will be arriving at Ramstein and need to know what to do to pass Euro inspections and hints for shipping. Major mods that might be questionable below...Thanks.
Mopar Stage 3
JMB full 3" exhaust with resonator and cat
BFMIC
Megan Racing Coilovers, lowered 1"
Black housing headlights
Mopar tail lights
Maddog shifter
35% side tint, 5% rear
The tint on the driver and passersby front windows is a no-go. The inspection is mostly about safety, as long as the brakes, lights and steering/suspension components aren't worn you should be fine. Your exhaust might be an issue for sound, 95db at 50% RPM is the limit. Depending on who inspects the car sometimes they will let you go with a little bit louder but it just depends.
On shipping, having the car higher is better, some guys have had damage done to their cars from being too low, also make sure nothing of value is left in the car, my Stereo got jacked during shipment, luckily the shipping company replaced it.

Thanks again!
The major things you are going to run into are the front window tint...there can't be any at all like someone else said. If you have tint on your windshield it can't be more then 4 inches from the roof of the car.
Your exhaust..you need to buy a silencer or something. if over 95 db's you will fail. a one inch lower is nothing. Worst case of that you have to raise the vehicle up a little for inspection but you have coilovers so no big deal.
Umm..no oil leaks on tranny, engine or anything else.. and they will test your brakes on a machine.
If they get something that makes you fail don't argue you won't win. I wish I could help you out but it's not going to happen as I will be in Iraq by the time your car gets here.
Lastly GOOD LUCK!!!!
James

But i would definately consider to crank up the coilovers as much as possible
to prevent damage from getting the car in and out of containers!
Oh and if you have any problems with your exhaust, i have a regular neon
end muffler laying around, you can always put that on for inspection!
With that on they'll think its electric until they hear ur BOV
We did that with Dutch inspections and it only takes a couple of minutes to get it on and off
Thanks everyone. I will probably remove the tint the day before I bring it to port and raise the front up a bit, the back it still plenty high. Might want to see if someone here in Louisiana can test for dBs.
Is it 50% of stock red line or Stage 3? I know its only the difference between 3000 and 3250, but it might matter.
im headed to new mexico. but actuallyhavin a beer with my bro i havent seen in 2 years right now in michigan. just got a new phone with internet! thanks max im going to miss you guys
Jim.... Yes there's a track about an hour or so away from where you'll be. There are other tracks further away too. Plenty to do and see in Germany. Take heed and remember this.... Germany IS what you make of it. If you don't get out and experience what the country can offer.... you'll hate it. Personally I'm going to hate leaving.
