This is just another reminder of the upcoming Nurburgring trip on Saturday, 28th of June. I did propose an earlier trip on Sunday June 22 within my email group but it looks like the 28th will work for most people. Plus it will give people more time to finish any maintenance work on their cars before the meet. I would highly recommend oil and transmission fluid changes, tire changes, brake pad and fluid inspections, and oil leak checks. The ‘Ring marshals will fine and impound any car that spills any fluid on the track so please make sure that your car is in tip top shape. If not, you can still go and ask people for a passenger lap and split the cost of each lap run. I would highly recommend this web site for any questions about the ‘Ring including safety and driving tips:
Remember, this is not a race, more of a get-together and introduce newbies to the track and have more experienced track guys show the lines. Please leave rank, egos, and trash talking of other people’s cars at home.
We will meet at the ATU in Kaiserslautern at 0800 and leave by 0830. Please bring your euros, GPS, and gas coupons. We will most likely stop at an Esso station closest to the track to fill up and then head out. There is a small bar/café that we all can eat for a small break. So here is the breakdown in schedule:
0800 Meet at K-town ATU
0830 Leave ATU
1030 Gas up at local Esso
1100 Ring laps
1400 Lunch
1500 More ring laps
1700 Leave
1900 Arrive Ktown
Please let me know if you have any questions and forward this notice to those who might be interested. Thanks!

Same as Max probably will try and make it. Just need to figure out how to make it come out of the corners a little less hard. Will haave to turn boost way down
Thanks for posting those links. Very helpful. Not to hijack your thread, but here is a informative video from the locals here in Germany on Nurburgring. (in english) Note that I said informative. Not as dry as the safety videos we watch when in-processing, but pretty much from the same source.
I’m a little concerned about the db limit. Anyone ever have the poliezi inspect them?

Polizei really don't inspect unless your car was seriously loud....I'm talking about having an exhaust that is earth shaking. But it's good to have a silencer around just in case.

Its basically the track officials that inspect you and will turn you away. Iam still on a DB ban from there. But the officials are a little more lax when there is a race on the GP track. Bottom line is if your car is loud at an idle you won't be able to get on the ring

I doubt that you will have little problems comming out of the corners schnuppi,if you have no track experience there. You will be going slow, slow, slow. Your biggest nemisis will be 100hp Golfs and Opels that will pass you like there is no tomorrow.
If you cant have loud exhaust i may not be able to run. I am pretty loud. As for experience. I have never run the Ring, but i did run SCCA while i was in High School. Looking forward to trying this though

Last year when i went out there for the first time, i hopped right in the line and got right on the track. No one even took a second glance at my car before i hit the track or anyone in the line for that matter. and it was busy there that day.
Airforce one,
Did you mean the 29th? cause thats sunday. if its on sat that weekend i may not be able to make it cause i just realized im going to be in school that day. Let me know...
