so i'll probably be heading to the autohobby shop on Volgeweh tomorrow to put on my BoP, and have a look at the front end (i got the projector headlamps too!!)
Problem is, ive never been under this car before, so i was wondering if anyone was going to be around volgeweh tomorrow, and they have a clue on how to install this BoP (thats the important thing to get on right now) and they wanna stop by or give me a call, that would be wicked.
My number is 0170 962 6038, the name is Josh.
Quick question about cooling the engine bay down quickly (and more importantly...SAFELY)--- is it safe to drive it easy so that the turbo isnt too hot, and then let the engine run and spray the intercooler for a few mins with cool water, and then possible the underside of the car with some water so that i can get under there faster as opposed to waiting for everything to cool off?
God i feel like a nub... lol i cant wait to dig this post up in like 6-8 months and laugh at my nub self.
Thanks
LC

If your refering to installing your block off plate, you can do that yourself in little to no time at all. theres just 3 bolts holding it on and it replaces your stock BOV but you should have an aftermarket BOV installed before you install a block off plate so you have a way of releasing the pressure.
Locarb: We are all in Saarbrucken tomorrow!!! Head out there, It's pretty close...I'll bring a 10mm and we can install it on the show if you want, hope the caliber is the same on that part
or tomorrow morning at Pat's place! if he is OK with that!!!

I was referring to a Blow off plate, i didnt think that i needed to get a full BoV until i started running higher than 15-17psi (which i dont think that i will be doing for the next little bit)
What time are you heading over there...I can swing by there can at least give you a few pointers on the lights....we have to drop the front clip to do our headlights took me 2 hrs yesterday to throw my new ones in. but I could do it in under an hour now.
IMO you still want to get a BOV it's a safety thing. I left my surge valve on the car and just put the HKS BOV on. The bottom line it's there to release pressure so I wouldn't even take it off. But it's your call many people do it anyway.
What time are you heading over there??? 10 when it opens? give me call at the house. My number is in the phone number thread.
By the way....WE HAVE ANOTHER CSRT4 PEOPLE!!!!!

I got the Blow off Plate on with Skitish, all went well i spose.
The kit came witht he valve, gasket, and extended length bolts. RTV'd the gasket and made a Turbo, rtv, gasket, rtv, BoP, Surge valve sandwich.
It sounds a little lower and more wooshier than i had expected but its still freakin amazing and i love how it sounds.
THANKS JAMES!
Oh i also got the projector headlamp assemblies installed, but i'll make a new post with pics on that install. Those Projectors really pop out on the CSRT
Yeah it looks great.. I'll help anytime I can man. We still need to wire everything up for the Halo's so don't forget to buy all that stuff and we'll knock it out next weekend.
