Default Hello from New Mexico Screw the shippin company!

Hey all!!

So were finally here in the 110F weather of New Mexico. Ill tell you, I already miss you guys like crazy. I can tell right off the bat that things wont ever be the same as they were in the Germany SRT community. I just picked up the SRT yesterday. BAD news..... they messed my car all up. Long dent and scratched in the roof, as well as the hood. They scratched my rear bumper and drivers door. As well as broke BOTH weather strips around the headlights as well as my hood prop clip. The guy pulled my car around and hopped out telling me how he loved how fast these "little cars" are... I put the Dial O Bosst on 0 when it was shipped and it came back on 3 The stupid shipping company offered me a whopping $150 to shut me up. And i told them to F-off with that noise. Now I got to go get it looked at and see what needs to be done. Ill have to keep you all updated. Ill tell you though for those who are shipping or thinking even tho my bad luck. Im still very glad I did ship it, I freakin love this car! So other than it being hot as hell over here, and living out of a hotel room. things are going well for the most part. how are things out on your guy's side of the world!! DONT FORGET ABOUT ME!!
Bad pic of the roof....

Yeah, Ill have to get some more pics up soon. Im really dissapointed but to look on the brightside I guess if the work to the roof and hood has to be done anyway. I maybe able to throw down a few more bucks out of my pocket and just get the whole car resprayed for cheaper then i would have before. So all in all it may work out. I do wish I just didnt have to worry about it.

Oh the front windows are already tinted 20% ill post pics, but im still sittin on the winter tire setup due to waitin on housing to finish building our house!

@ James its just called Youtube Downloader you can google it and hit it up from almost any site, works AWESOME and its free and legit!

Max: Stick a big fat Post-It on both doors from in- and outside "ATTENTION LAMBODOORS - OPEN CAREFULL!!!! (NO FAT ASS WORKERS PLEASE!)"

Pat: I really believe you that it sucks! But see it positive: They HAVE to pay for everything that is damaged.
Report everything, go to the dealership and let them make an estimate of the costs.
Let the shipping company pay exactly that $$$ - and then repair it and paint it cheaper.
And with a little luck (better: i am sure!) you will have after that a nice custom color and still some extra money in your pocket.

Dammit that's some weird damage on the top of the car, hope you can get something out of it, and that it doesn't take like a year before they finally pay-out!
I'm sure i'll never ship this car anymore and if so i'll rent a boat and bring it myself!

But how the F do they break the weather strips around the headlights ???? :O
Hope everything work out, o and we won't forget you Pat we'll have all those shirts

The funny thing is, it was marked 4" low ground clearance. And I was most worried about the intercooler. Turns out they F up the top! how does that shit happen? lol Im very suprised to say Im taking it better then I thought I would. It could have been worse and I guess its just knowing that there going to pay for it like Carsten said. And if I do have the oppertunity i will just get the whole car resprayed. Was thinkin about doing the CF hood BUT ill tell you the sun is freakin HOT here. Im to afraid the damn thing will fade out and crack in the first week...

Dont know if they would even let me change the original color, Ill have to talk to the place it will be done at. But if so, throw out some colors that would be custom to the SRT and good in the sun and heat!! I'd like to hear them!

Oh and the headlight weather rings?????? you got me, there both evenly broke at the same spot on both sides...? they say its an "act of nature" I guess the seagulls liked my headlights. I dont think there going to get me new ones, sooo anyone have a set layin around? lol

This whole 9 hours time dif sucks, im back from PT and headed to work right now. Ill keep you guys on the update with how it goes down.

Again since even breakage it sounds like some thing was used to hold the car in place broke them

yeah thats what I thought as well, but I cant really prove it cause there are no rub marks from what ever it was they were useing. Thats what i would say happened to the roof as well. Looks just like something was strapped across the roof to tie it down. But whats weird is the dents are deeper closer to the doors BUT there is no damage to the tops of the doors or even where the roof comes up to meet the door.. Its really kinda weird

You know how I know you're ghey? You like and support my new screen name. LOL.

But seriously, I've only used a shipping company once to go from Georgia to California...and it was a bad experience. They effed me out of several hundred dollars in the damage they did to my car.

Do you really want me to point out how I know YOU are gay?

The shippers caused $4400 in damage to my car when they shipped it from the states to Germany. I'm not looking forward to finding out what they fuck up next time.
