***** PICS LINK ADDED****ok as it says im going out to nurburgring this weekend with a few other cars from spangdahlem... gauging interest here...shoot me a pm or reply here if you are interested. im fairly sure we have a turbo civic:thppp a golf gti slightly modded, a 325 that is gutted rollcaged and modded and maybe a stock rx8 and a slightly modded s2k. its going to be a great time. lmk if anyone else is interested and i will pass on info as i get it.

car has to be in decent shape. must have seatbelts. no helmet rules. uhhhh. its literally the same laws as a German roadway. its a 13ish mile track, at 21euro a lap. i plan on running a couple laps.

ive used that thread to talk myself out of going like 8 times now.lol. i refuse to go out there when it is wet though. i understand the dangers of the ring and i also plan on doing a ride along with one of my good friends who drives out there regularly, just to somewhat learn the problem spots. plan on doing 2 laps at least and also plan on ordering brakes when i get back lol.

Yeah the biggest deception is the elevation. I almost ate shit in a wicked set of turns but I recovered and kept going. It'll be good to go with stock turbo then go again with the big set up. I was freaking a few m3 guys out with the screamer pipe. That was comedy

yeah now that i ordered the turbo kit i dont guess ill have the money for a big brake setup for a little bit. but i will definetly post up with times when im done

Well, just got back from the ring and i must say that it is better than any car show ever. saw a tvr tuscan s scream past me and the porsche gt2 in front of me. there were alot of really fast cars out today. saw a few GT-R's a ford GT and a murcialago. i made one lap at a slow slow pace of about 12 minutes. It kinda puts a damper on things when one of the guys you go out there with wrecks on his first lap. exact same spot as the above posted thread. cobalt ss, damage drivers front and rear fenders 300E in guard rail 229E in towing off the track and a yet to be determined tow home.

i guess its a good thing i warned him about his attitude...lot of good that did. so yeah the kumho tires suck they finally got warm at about the 14km mark on the track and by that time i had too much brake fade to push it. Car got a lot of attention out there, so that was really cool. Kinda got me thinking a new route for the car. brakes and stickier tires here i come. all in all a great day for me. not so much for said cobalt owner.
