Well, I just got back from Munich. Had a free hotel room to stay in. Hell, I had a free woman to stay in too, but that's another story. I stayed warm.
Anyway, it kinda started out bizarre. I would up making the wrong turn into the Olympiapark (where the Olympics was held in Munich in the 70s) and wound up smack dab in the middle of the BMW museum and new car static displays. This German guy came up yelling at me so I said "Oh, riiiiight. This is the SLOW car display. Gotcha." Neatest cars they had on display was the Z4 and two F1 cars on stands. That ain't saying much. I bubbled, snorted, and hissed my way back onto the main thoroughfare and finally found some parking. It was pretty neat. They had some lame stock BMW on a stand out in the middle of the pond there, and I'm still trying to figure out how they did that one. You don't see any floats or anything. They had the whole oompah-oompah, dance/techno, rock, and grunge thing going on for music. No one any of you would have heard of. Not even you, Joe.

And shitloads of BMWs all over the place, lined up on the sides of the roads. Every make and model they have was represented. It was pretty cool since you can see the BMW main headquarters building across the road (big skyscraper). Big BMW lovefest going on over there.
It was pretty cool and the SRT-4 turned heads all over Munich.
I left before they started the whole "BWM Fashion" show. Gaaaaaaaay.
Note to self: do not in engage in "extra-curricular" activites

in the hotel room all night long before a 4 hour drive to get home. Ugh. I'm beat. I'm going to finally get some sleep.
