Default 98dba......FAILED

MaxxFab 3" Dual Tip with Muffler, and a high flow cat. Since the Authorized limit is 92dba, this sucks!

I had stuffed the tip with steel wool but the inspector must have suspected and reved the shit out of the car before pulling into the bay and it popped out (luckily he didnt see it) This weekend I am going to attempt to make a metal silencer I can bolt into the tip. Any other ideas?

Wrap the steel wool in a coat and ball it and stick as far back into the pipe as possible. It won't come out as easy.

I got a stock cat with custom welded flanges to bolt right up if you need to borrow it for inspection

I reeeallly want to avoid having to take all my stuff off just to put it back on again, it took me a long time to get it all installed and lined up the way I want it. I actually have a full stock system as well. I havent had a chance to figure out a fix yet but hopefully this weekend. I plan on making a removable silencer so it will be any easy fix next year when inspection roles around.

I forgot a critical word in my post "Hanger"
Wrap the coat hanger around your ball of steel wool and shove it up the pipe. Use coarse steel wool.
