Default Skid Plate, sorry if repost

Hey does anyone know of a company that fabricates a skid plate? And if not, what type of shop would I go to to get a skid plate done.

Just for clarification for me, skid plates and scatter shields are two different things right?

Scatter shields usually keep the clutch peices from destroying the rest of your car or engine parts from coming through the fire wall. I have never seen anyone make skid plates for our cars and I can't think of anyone that needed one. You making a rally car or something?

Yes.

Well, I'm debating. I'm currently doing road racing which really doesn't call for a skid plate.

Those of you who road race, are scatter shields a requirement or necessity?

And those who rallycross or rally race, what kind of skid plates are you using? Aluminum or steel?

I got a quote from Rage-Tek that they can fabricate one for about $300 for the front $200 for the rear and the turnaround time is 2 weeks, does this price sound about right?

Pricing sounds about right, but where are you going to Rally Race around Miami?

I am glad to hear of some more SRT4 rally interest

I run a huge front skid plate made of 1/4" T6061 aluminum and it takes a beating - I'll see if I have any pics

& I have some sort of CF shield on the fuel tank but I need to do the whole bottom of the car in UHMW Polyethylene (plastic) - I have seem it done and it really helps a lot!
