In my class there were some civics, a ford probe(autocross setup gutted), some svt focuses, honda rsx, nissan sentra se-r(or what), scion tc... I don't remember all

Anyway it was a great event and they'll be back later to cali...i'll be there too

I ran 1:24, the second place i believe ran 1:27 and so on...
What was very funny about it is that i have never been to an autocross track in my life and the first run i made was like 2:06 or something, but with a help of a friend of mine who is a pro driver i made some serious improvements as you can see
He said i should have gotten an award for most improved driver in 24 hours
I had a few problems with my car and was able to run only at 400whp and luckily the race was only 3 hot laps and a cooldown, since my car was overheating after the 4-5th lap

I have posted everything about my car's mods here:

I ran a 1:11 in the AWD Unlimited class and took third, but sorry to say I was not in my SRT.

I was driving the Crabtree/Dixonart.com black STI. Great car, 600whp and great setup.

You can see a pic of me, Tarzan and the Muellerized EVO running together on the XS eng. web site. Just look up the XS 800+whp Skyline and you can see the pic from this weekend at the bottom. We got 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

It was nice to meet you Johny. I wish I had more time to talk to you, but you know how it was...

Craig

It was nice to meet you too.

Next time we will have i guess more time to talk.
I am actually upgrading my car and putting in a Stage 8 head AEM standalone and race cams so i will put down probably 600whp hopefully still on pumpgas.

You ran a really good time!
It was a mess at the end of the day, but i hope next time they will be more organized.
Actually i blew my headgasket the first day so i found out on Monday

I had a lot of fun. This was my first time ever on a racetrack other then drag, and i know i didn't run the best, but still won in my category and next time i will be more prepared.
If you really look at it i made a huge improvement over 24 hours...first lap i ran was like 2:06 next day win was like 1:24...huge improvement

Hope to see you later!!

wow, sorry to hear about the headgasket. But like you said, next time you will be faster. You did make great improvments. Most people don't make up that much time that quick. yea, they really messed up at the awards. I never got called for my trophy. They called some other dudes name!!! DOH!!! But, at least they put the right name up on the web site. Although they still call me Greg "it's CRAIG"! I will be hitting several track events this year including Modified Time Attack at Buttonwillow and a few Time Attacks of Sport Compact Car, so if you want to meet up, that would be cool.

I used to be a Bondurant instructor and I currently teach with the Barber Driving Experience, so if you want any training at the track, it would be free for a fellow SRT brother. That goes for anyone else that wants to come to the track and have the most fun you've had with your pants on.

This next Time Attack I will (if all goes well) be driving my SRT4 in the class you ran in and the DixonArt STI in AWD Unlimited. The STI is currently at the shop getting a Motec, APR widebody kit, 305 Hoosiers and 100+ more whp. This should put it at 700+whp

Sensei,

Thanks for the offer for free lessons, i think i will hold you to that at the next event...i'll be also at the next races i guess headon with you
I am putting in right now crower custom cams, fidenza adjustable camsprockets, 1000cc injectors, new headgasket and hopefully before the next race the AEM standalone(or the Hydra, but i don't know much about them and wonder which is better, for me luckily money is not the issue, but gains are so if you have a suggestion, let me know) so i am aiming for about 600whp on pumpgas...a man can have a dream

Back to my suspension:
I have Hotchkis front and rear swaybars set to the tightest possible(easy to install and perfect fit and huge improvement for bodyroll)
I have DC Sports rear upper strutbar(i think the front isn't that important since the firewall is very very close to the top of the coilovers, but probably for the next race i'll get that too)
I have just the Tein basic coilovers...couldn't get the SS since they were sold out nationwide till like may so that was what i could get ready for the race, it's a bit stiff, since you can't adjust the dampening level...oh well i'll change it for something better anyway maybe Progress Auto's new stuff that's coming out or Tein SS or Race)
I am running right now on Toyo Proxes T1R tires, they are great tires and are very sticky and they had 235/45/17 size as well so i went with them and i don't regret it, they really perform great.

Oh i almost forgot the suspension is corner balanced to my weight!
Very very important to do if you have adjustable coilovers!!!
