Default July FastTrack - SRT4 to DSP

So is anyone thinking about running DSP?

I've been thinking about it since mines a Non-ACR, so not competitive in DS. I've been competitive in STU locally, but would never be Nationally.

I'd like to go to some national events in the future, so am thinking the SRT4 could be fairly competitive in DSP. The ITR's would be the biggest competitor.

I've been reading over the SP rules and basically looks like everything I have put on for STU would be legal in DSP. Plus then could put my Stage 1 ECU back in and get some 255 wide x 15 diam R comps. Would anything wider fit without cutting? Will 15 inch wheels fit over front calipers? (Car would still be my DD). Anything else anyone would suggest to be competitive in DSP?

Current mods are: Intake & Exhaust, Hotchkis front and rear sways, front LCA bushings, rear tension strut bushings, front and rear STB's, BC racing inverted coilovers.

All comments welcome! Thanks. Chris

15s fit with the right offset/spoke design. I REALLY want someone to try a 275/35-15 setup on a 15x10 wheel and see if it's too short (gearing) for most events. It's likely the widest you can fit without hacking the body up.

Hey guys, if you haven't already please send an email in support of this to seb@scca.com with the reference number "Move from CSP to DSPodge SRT-4 (ref. 08-014)" in the subject line. Let them know you support this move and let's get this done!

Hello Cindi, I wish It isn't going to be one of my best seasons this year. Troublewise, I think I'm ok but between taxes, gas prices and stuff I'm pretty much out of the game this year.

I'll be back in it at some point

You sure seem to be rockin' in your Viper. Congratulations on 5th at Miller and being 12th in the points despite missing the first race!

Now if we can just get a FWD Street Mod class. The only issue I see in DSP is

Those things are fast! I'm running in SM with a stage 3 ACR and every event I have been to that the BMW shows up at he would win SM but runs in pax class. He normaly puts 1.5 sec on me at a 1 min course. The car I'm running is not fully solo preped but is pretty good. To those of you looking to run DSP I say good luck and I hope the SRT is better than I give it credit for.
