yeah this weekend was a novice and club cay with some instructors... they all had good things to say a few minor things that i was doing wrong ... but mostly they said that ill i needed was some more seat time because i had the right idea about all the lines just timing was off a bit.
Becareful. Autocross is a gateway drug. Next it'll be HPDE. I've done almost as many track days this year as autocross events. Fortunately the organization I run under shuts it down for the summer.

I know what you mean. but then, you'll be searching for alternative venues to abuse your autocrossing addiction!! I see your from arizona, are you part of the FIR autocrossing schedule? I may be going to tucson or flagstaff for my summer events..
HPDE's are real fun. I'm the opposite. I first got hooked onto HPDE and now I'm thinking about hitting up autocross.
Not sure, but if I have a good Road Race set up, should I be decent in the same setup for autocross?

I've only autocrossed down here in Tucson. I'd have to take time off to do a Phoenix or Sierra Vista event.

Should be decent. The only thing I can think of is that autocross may require a more tail happy setup.
first one this was this past weekend
Autocross is amazing
totally changing how i want to build my car now!
lookin at ordering some hotchkiss sway bars next
i've got eibach pro kit, solid mm and tranny mount and some strut tower bars but thats it for suspension.
welcome aboard, you wouldnt begin to understand how hard it is for me to talk my drag/street racing buddies to come out to an autox or hpde event. Ive been autocrossing for years, been drag racing for years and will not lie although ive slowed down drastically street racing did occupy my time for a while too. In the end nothing beats the rush of autox/hpde in my eyes save for....im not gonna finish that but yeah once you get more stuff suspension wise you'll see that its not a matter of straightline speed/how much power you make but more so of the balance you can create by setting up the handling properly.
