How are you tucking and fitting these huge tires sizes?
I along with Jeff Stout have some of the most extreme SRT's in the country. Jeff is building a first full carbon fiber wide body car as we speak. We cannot figure out how you are doing this? Alot of people seem to think that they have some one off pieces or a combination that allows this, such as 3A rear nuckles and so forth. Every pic that I'm see of the cars with this tire combo look like they are stock ride height or just lowered very little? What offset wheel are you running, which I think might we the issue for us. Or are you not running much chamber? We hit the struts of our motons if we get any wider, and we have rear nuckle kits that Jeff designed to pull the wheels in almost a inch. Now are cars are lowered between 2" and 2.5".Could some of you with the combo please chime in. Also how are you not destroying axles and trannies? What horsepower are you making? If you could please fill us in we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Edward
I have a carbonfiber widebody srt-4... so Jeff is second lol...
But to go back to your questions. I ran 275/35/17 tires before and had the car lowered about an 1.5" and they were just great, with plenty of room for clearance, one of the reasons I went up to 305s, but that was a bit too much so now i'm running 295/35/17s. The offset of the wheels is 18 and I run 5/8 spacers(because of the front big break kit clearance)
I have -3 camber in front and -2.5 in the back. In the back I had to cut out some parts of the body and as I mentioned I have a CF wide-body front fenders and rear quarter panels. I didn't change anything on the hubs or nuckels or anything ... yet...

I have been dealing with a company to build us negative offset wheel to move our tires away from the struts and brakes. I have no pics or prices yet.
Using one of our 15x10 rims with a -11mm offset and a 275x50x15 tire will place the inner side wall 3.6" further out than the stock rims with 205x50x17s.
Using one of our 15x10 rims with a -24mm offset and a 275x50x15 tire will place the inner side wall 4.1" further out than the stock rims with 205x50x17s.

I do not mean just flares that are carbon fiber. I mean a real cf car; cf doors, complete rear quarter, top, trunk fenders, hood, rockers; I mean everything. If you got those fenders you have from DCR or copied them Jeff design those. We have had those fenders for over 2.5 years. I really do appreciate all your input on your set ups so I will be looking into it more.
To 1LAPSRT: You are right Kathy and Jim own the cars but Jeff is the designer and builder of that car. Jeff can do it all. He has many parts that none of the SRT community has never even heard or seen. He can be and will be a great asset to all of us.
I truly appreciate all your input and will be doing my research over the tires. Its hard to put 600+ whp to the ground at times hahaha. I can wait to to get all of us together and run. We are going to run a few east coast time attacks this coming season if all works out. Thanks Edward
I know of at least 6 road racing SRT-4's that will be at Sebring on January 13th-17th for PBOC Winterfest and the first Viperdays event of the year. On Thursday night, there is a 6 hour enduro that I know of a GT35R powered SRT-4 that is planning to run. This will be my first event on Hoosier's and the cold weather should make for some quick lap times. See links below for registration:
Are you guys going to sell the carbonfiber doors? and for how much? I'm just about to get the molds made...
what do you mean CF rear quarter panel? My car has in the back some added CF rear widening extensions and got a bunch of body work chopped out behind it, the front's are full CF widebody flares.
Besides my gutted doors everything is CF on my car: hood, roof, front fenders, trunk, rear quarter panel extensions, front canards, splitter...just to talk about the outside
What turbo are you guys running?
There will be 4 GT35R cars running at it if we bring ours that I know of. We hate sebring tho, its to rough and we break trannies and axles everytime. We run the GT35r on our cars; Jeff runs it on one of his cars and a modified stage 3 on the other.
When I'm refering to rear quarter I mean taking the existing metal one off and putting a new cf one on. I will talk to Jeff about getting you some doors. Thanks Edward

Turns 1 and 17 are rough, although I found Daytona to be even rougher. That would be great to have a bunch of SRT-4's at the event, we are bringing 4 from Gainesville. I will bring two stage 3 cars and my friend is bringing a stage 2 car and the GT35R car I spoke of earlier.
