Default DD With Some HPDE Tire Suggestion

Hey all.
I'm looking for some replacement tires and need help from people who've actually tracked their tires.

Criteria.
DD driven car, so it has to been a street tire with decent tread life.
Trying to keep it around $100 a tire or less.
225/45/17, or equivalent for Enkei RS7. I believe it's a 17x7 wheel.

I read that the new Kumho's weren't so good in the rain. Just something to think about.

I have read the same. Kumho sacrifices rain performance for some additional dry performance over the Direzza, but the Direzza offers great overall performance.

The Dunlops are great daily driving tires if you are still wanting track performance.

The Kumho XS is in another world with it's sidewall stiffness and track ability........in the dry. They are by no means unsafe in the wet, but they are like the old Falken Azenis RT-215 when it comes to standing water. Straight line grip is greatly reduced as well with the XS in the wet.
