I'm looking into purchasing some FX1 wide seats with the dual locking sliders. Does anyone know how high the seat would be? I'm 6'2" so would actually need it slightly lower than stock viper seats to be safe with a roll bar/harnesses. This is my only concern so was wondering if you guys knew, or if there's a different way to mount them and get the seat lower.
Thanks

I am also 6' 2" and am currently running a corbeau FX-1 wide. The way I have mine mounted now, it is a little high but if you have a corbeau seat mount with just sliders and then bottom mount the seat, you should be fine.
If you are going with side mounts, you need to make sure you have ones that have a lot of adjustability (holes).
FYI - the wide seat may rub against the inner b-pillar depending upon height and mounting. Mine does but my mounting solution is a little more complex

Thanks for that info. How do you like yours? I'm about 210 lbs and thinking I should go with the wide for a little more comfort, since I'll still be driving it on the street still...also the 36"-38" max waist size for the regular FX1 will be snug, I assume, and get pretty old fast.

About same weight as you and like you, I drive the car on the street. Reasonabley comfortable for a fixed back seat. If you want a little more lumbar support, the "pump" lumbar pillow works pretty well.
Are you using a stock seat belt? I use a harness which is more of a pain to me than the seat.

I'll be getting 6 point harnesses, so yes, that will be a pain. I'm thinking I might be able to get away without using the crotch ones on the street though...They'll be used with an autopower race roll bar btw.
You guys know that no harness is legal for street use don't you? It's not that they are not safe enough...just not approved and could result in a ticket! JSYK

I had heard that...pulled over once so far and no mention but it was a city cop (not highway patrol). Thanks.
One other question, completely unrelated. What did you do with your airbags?
When I bought my car, it already had an aftermarket steering wheel so no drivers side airbag. Passenger one is still there and my airbag light is on (I just ignore it).
sliders are great but raise the seat a inch or so . I don't have sliders and my seat ( not corbeau ) is in the bottom mounting holes. And I have enough room, but barely.
